Week five didn't feature the big-game stats seen in prior weeks, but there were some notable performances nonetheless. Here are just five of the top prep performances.
Rhodes did all of his work in the first half in Millard's 42-0 win over Gunnison. He ran the ball just nine times for 160 yards and two touchdowns on the night.
Palepoi has been the workhorse for the Miners this year and led them again in their 37-0 win over Cottonwood. He ran the ball 26 times for 173 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
After a subpar outing a week ago, Bernard was back, leading the Mustangs to a 48-7 blowout over Hillcrest. He rushed the ball for 131 yards and three touchdowns on just 15 carries while sitting for much of the second half.
Nelson contributed six total touchdowns and 291 yards of total offense in the 40-10 win over Bonneville. Nelson has appeared on this list during most weeks and should be a mainstay from here on out.
The Miners went up against one of the top offenses in the state last week and shut them down. Led by standout middle linebacker Jared Afalava, Bingham held the prolific Colt offense to just 162 total yards.
