An interesting cap to this run through history is the last BYU NCAA tournament win, which was a play-in game to the field of 64, where the Cougars made the greatest come-from-behind performance in the history of March Madness with the 2012 win over Iona. Brandon Davies, Noah Hartsock and budding star Matt Carlino all came up big in that game.

A 15-30 overall record, and zero final four appearances...

How is BYU a storied basketball program? All I've seen is a lot of one and dones and second round losses. The farthest BYU has ever gone in the NCAA tournament was the Elite Eight. They've never reached the Final Four, let alone win a National Championship like storied programs do. I would say that BYU has a decent basketball history but not a storied one.

The last one should say "second round." The play in round is called the first round, and the round of 64 is now called the second round.
