Prep editor James Edward’s bracket: Loss to Highland in first round

Edward’s evaluation: After winning 13 straight games from Dec. 21 to Feb. 11, strangely this team went 2-2 in the final two weeks losing to Provo and Salem Hills. Was it just complacency or has the blueprint been exposed on how to beat the T-Birds? There’s no way to know for sure until Monday’s playoff opener, but the T-Birds can’t afford another letdown. Highland could have a big crowd on hand at the Huntsman Center and it has a history of playing very well at state.
