NFL watch: Which local players will play in the NFL playoffs?

Published: Sunday, Dec. 29 2013 10:01 p.m. MST

The NFL playoff matchups are set, and 14 players with ties to the state of Utah will be headed into the postseason. Nine of those players played for the Utes, four played for Utah State, one each played for Weber State, Southern Utah and Snow College, and five of the players went to Utah high schools.

Now they'll all get a chance to try for a Super Bowl ring in the playoffs.

Here's all the players with local ties playing in the NFL playoffs.

Proud of Utah State, for the resources it has USU is this states highest producer of wins and talent. Imagine what USU would be with the money that the schools down south receive.
output = widows mite.

East Salt Lake City, Utah

Wow! No BYU alum in the playoffs this season?

I like how this article felt it necessary to point out how Ansah's stats look better than Star's. When you draw a double team that is what happens. Ansah is not talented enough to draw the double team. This is Star's value to his team creating opportunities for his team mates. I can see how the local media needs to pump Y players up, especially when none are mentioned in the playoffs.

5 HS kids
Kruger went to PG didn't he?

Umanami, I agree, why is Ansah even mentioned when he's not going to the playoffs? The article also forgot to mention that Lotuleilei is considered one of the top three defensive rookies this year. Ansah is not even in the discussion.

Bountiful, utah

this article was about nfl players with ties to the state, not utah vs byu. It seems here that only jerks support the U and not the State of Utah.

Wow, no BYU but wait Collie (was reinstated mid or late November) playing for New England. And Andy Ried head coach at KC was former BYU rugby player but yeah he wasn't a football player. Great job for Aggies and Weber State. At least "u" are watching the playoff and not at the rose bowl. Is Crissy feeling a little down?
