Top high school football games to look forward to this season
Scott G. Winterton, Deseret News
Week two finds another 4A vs. 5A battle as two teams that were contenders for their respective classes try to get back to elite status with new teams.
While a win or a loss doesn't do anything for either team's state finish, each would like to get the season started right.
No. 9 Mountain Crest, with three straight runner-up showings in 4A, takes on the No. 4 Knights, a team with returning starters at skill positions. The pairing should grab spotlights and headlines and offers fans a chance to look at two teams that will not play again.

Only four of the games involve Lone Peak? I sense a bias by the reporter.
Also, "Fremont at Davis" says "when Fremont hosrs the Darts"...which one is wrong?
I don't think any team is mentioned more than four times???
toosmart,
Davis comes to "PC" for that game, will be a great game on our field. Maybe even better than last years thriller @ Davis.

I think that it is interesting that 3 of the 4 LP games to watch are against 4A teams... Granted they are top tier 4A teams but for the "team to beat" to have these games to watch against 4A teams means they aren't as great as everyone makes them seem... Also what happened to games of the week on KJZZ? Can't find anything online or on my TV guide. It will be a real shame if there are no games broadcast this year
Davis at Brighton- It wont be a fluke
Why is everyone so high on c wood they choke year in and year out. this year will be no different. no o line no D.
How about east at pineview tomorrow, power house 3a vs power house 4a, thats got to be a good game!!
I think Skyline vs. Olympus is still big. West vs. Highland has some intrigue. Westlake vs. Cottonwood should be a good one tonight.
