LDS temple picture quiz: Midwestern, Northeastern and Southern U.S. edition

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints currently has 141 temples operating around the world, according to the church's Newsroom website.

This picture quiz is the second in a series that will test your knowledge of temple designs. Click here to take the first quiz, "LDS temple picture quiz: Western U.S. edition."

This edition includes 34 temples located in the Midwestern, Northeastern, and Southern United States. Subsequent lists will include temples from other areas around the world.

  • Connecticut: one temple (under construction)
  • Massachusetts: one temple
  • BONUS - Alaska: one temple
  • BONUS - Hawaii: two temples

Temples that are currently under construction are not included in the list. The following temples fall into this category:

None are of Anchorage.

Can someone explain this new-age geography to me, where today's listing of all temples....

"located in the Midwestern, Northeastern, and Southern United States",

includes the temples in HAWAII and ALASKA ?!?!

Has there been a massive shift in the tectonic plates that I didn't hear about? Or what??
