The Jaguars' season can't get worse

The Jacksonville Jaguars are just awful. No matter what adjustments or schemes they make every week, it completely backfires. They are widely considered the worst team in the NFL and don't seem to be trying to do anything to change that.

The Jaguars lost to San Diego, 24-6, Sunday to fall to 0-7.

Just two years removed from leading the league in rushing by more than 200 yards, Jacksonville running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who has been fighting a high ankle sprain all year, appears to have just lost his touch. He has only 316 yards on 103 carries this year, giving him the worst attempt-to-yards ratio among starting running backs in the league.

Unless Jones-Drew performs at his highest possible level, assume the Jaguars to drop to 0-8 Sunday against the 49ers.

With rivalry games between the Eagles and Giants, and Packers and Giants, as well as RGIII facing off against Manning, week eight looks to be every bit as compelling as week seven.

With each compelling week comes many great moments and several terrible ones. Stay tuned.
