Each week, roughly 90 percent of the schools submit their stats for publication, and the year-to-date leaders in a variety of categories can be found here.
After sifting through thousands of tackles and yards from roughly 50 games last week, here are 15 of the top performers from week five of the high school football season:
In last week’s 42-3 win over Cyprus, Grossaint finished with 13 tackles and two interceptions on defense, and then on offense he caught five passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Led Gunnison to a 41-12 victory over American Leadership both offensively and defensively. He tallied a team-high 13 tackles and then hauled in five catches for 124 yards and a touchdown.
Was a one-man wrecking crew in last week’s 45-27 win over Northridge. The BYU commit had 16 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown, one reception for an 80-yard score and then defensively added four tackles from his safety position.
Spearheaded a 40-16 region win at Union, finishing with 114 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Completed 20 of 28 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-0 rout of Westlake.
In a heartbreaking 37-34 loss to Pleasant Grove, this quarterback had a fantastic evening, completing 16 of 30 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns.
Enjoyed a record-breaking performance in last Friday's 49-38 win over Roy.
The senior racked up 691 yards of total offense, shattering his older brother D.J. Nelson's previous state record of 606 yards of total offense in 2011.
Logan ran 80 offensive plays, and Nelson was involved in 76 of them. He completed 29 of 41 passes for 441 yards and five TDs.
On the ground, he carried the ball 39 times for 250 yards.
Someone had to be there to catch a ton of Chase Nelson’s passes, and Taylor Compton was that guy, hauling in 13 receptions for 205 yards and a touchdown in the 49-38 win over Roy.
Hauled in six passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns as visiting Orem blanked Mountain View in a Region 7 game last Friday.
Springville’s offensive line had no answer to stop this defensive lineman as he finished with six tackles and three sacks in Timpview’s 35-0 victory over the Red Devils.
Quiet the past few weeks, this senior returning All-Stater had a monster game rushing for 276 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in a 49-27 win over Herriman. He also led the team in tackles with eight.
Led Sky View to its fourth straight victory by rushing for 132 yards and three touchdowns in a 59-14 victory over Provo.
Juab raced to a 50-26 win over rival Delta last Friday, thanks in large part to Nick Robins, who had a very efficient night, completing 11 of 17 for 241 yards and four TDs.
Led Skyline to a 41-6 victory at Murray by carrying the ball 16 times for 120 yards and three touchdowns to go along with his 70 receiving yards and a score.
Led the Soaring Eagle to an impressive 45-13 region road victory at Bear River by rushing for 89 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.
