"Betrayal" appears to be ABC’s attempt to ride the success of its currently popular show "Scandal," in which a young woman has an affair with the president of the United States.

Set in Chicago, "Betrayal" is about a beautiful young wife who cheats on her husband with a man she later finds out is the defense attorney on a case that her husband, a high-profile prosecutor, is going to (as he puts it) “destroy.” Whoops. Call me old fashioned, but I typically don’t enjoy rooting for adultery.

The only show here that looks interesting is Crazy Ones. I'm looking forward to returning shows -- NCIS, NCIS LA, Bones, CSI, Elementary, Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, White Collar, Hawaii 5-O, The Mentalist, Downton Abbey, Castle... and waiting for Covert Affairs and Suits to resume. Will really miss The Finder, Psych and CSI NY.

You state that "I’m surprised that a sitcom about detective work hasn’t been done before". You must not love TV as much as you say you do if you don't know about Barney Miller, a sitcom centered around detectives, starring some of the funniest people on TV at the time. Or maybe you are just too young for what is considered a classic TV sitcom - about detectives.

These shows sound awful. We need a new network or something, maybe a ruthless editing service might make this kind of stuff acceptable. I don't want to eat anything with even five or ten percent poisonous content.
