Record: 2-0

Last week: Won 38-24 vs. Central Arkansas (1-1)

Up next: Home vs. Fresno State (2-0)

The Buffaloes had their backs against a wall against Central Arkansas. Just as the Bears were threatening to open up a 14-point lead, CU's Jered Bell intercepted a Wynrick Smothers pass and raced 79 yards for the tying score.

CU picked off Smothers two more times on its way to the win, breaking a six-game home winless streak.

Even though it's a lower-division opponent, the home win and the presently undefeated record seems to have the Buffs on the upswing for now.

"The kids are believing they can win, no matter what," first-year coach Mike MacIntyre told the Denver Post. "That's a big hurdle."
