Record: 1-1

Last week: Won 10-7 at USC (1-1)

Up Next: Home vs. Southern Utah

To say that Wazzou's win over USC was big would be an understatement.

Ever since 2002, when WSU beat the Trojans en route to the Rose Bowl, USC hasn't just been undefeated against the Cougars, it's been dominant. Winning by an average of 33 points, USC has made the Cougars desperate to get out intact rather than compete.

It appears Mike Leach has things in Pullman headed in the right direction for now.

“(Leach) just told us, ‘It’s ours to take right now,’” offensive tackle Gunnar Eklund told the Seattle Times. “He told the defense, ‘Take it from ’em in their own home.’”

The Cougars will get a chance to improve next week against SUU, an FCS team that has already beaten one FBS opponent so far this year and is looking for a repeat performance.
