The Utes came into week two determined not to let what happened to San Diego State, Oregon State and Kansas State happen to them. No way were they going to allow the Wildcats to come away from Rice-Eccles with a win.

In the end, Saturday's contest proved a good opportunity for Travis Wilson to continue to shake off the rust and for the Utah defense to prepare itself ahead of Pac-12 play.

The Pac-12 South also took advantage of week two. Of those teams that played, all but one of the teams in the division came away with a victory.
