Sport: Football

Height / weight: 6-foot-3 / 195

Position: Wide receiver

Van Leeuwen, a native of Provo and a Timpview High graduate, was among the first of former head coach Gary Andersen's recruits in Logan. Now embarking upon his senior season, he has the opportunity to make a big name for himself in a receiving corps full of question marks.

Van Leeuwen played all 13 games of the 2012 season, but acted principally as a backup to Matt Austin and Chuck Jacobs. Now that both of those players have graduated, Van Leeuwen has been presented with the opportunity to become the undisputed leader of USU's receving corps — the go-to guy when the chips are down and when yards need to be gained.
