For the Utah Utes, the 2013-14 calendar will be one of validation. The Utes have struggled in their new conference in more sports than just football and basketball. With the notable exceptions of gymnastics and women's basketball, each Utah athletics program has found life in Utah's new home much less hospitable.

That is not to say, however, that the Utes aren't up for the challenge. From the gridiron to the court to the gymnast's vault, a host of Utah athletes are preparing to demonstrate that indeed Utah does deserve to be counted among the best all-around athletics programs in the nation. Some will start play almost immediately as soon as the semester begins. For others, fans will have to wait awhile.

In the meantime, here are 10 key Utah athletes fans of all Ute sports should keep an eye on during the 2013-14 calendar year, including football and men's basketball.
