The affordability, peace and quiet and safety of Salt Lake City all contributed to its overall ranking at the No. 3 family vacation hot spot in America. Salt Lake scored a 4.63 out of 5 score and finished behind only Orlando and Honolulu.

About these top 10 lists: I would rather have them in a regular article format, including all the pictures (which could be placed within the regular text), than have to click on one item at a time and wait for it to load. I skip a lot of these lists that I'd like to see because I don't have the time to keep clicking.
If Jason Chaffetz, Rob Bishop, or Mike Lee has their way, they will ensure that Salt Lake and Utah has nothing left worthwhile to see.
How do Lee, Chaffetz or Bishop affect SLC as a vacation city? As I looked at the list of criteria, they all seemed to about the city.
It seemed like this list was pretty redundant...
I have to agree with the first poster. The ads take forever to load on this site and reading a list like this takes too long.
I also agree, these top ten lists are annoying. I know that Bing does them, but I really resent Bing for it.
Utah has too many Mormons. You can't find a place to get a drink. The strip clubs are too far away from Temple Square. Better watch out! You might get a free copy of The Book of Mormon and then you will never see Starbucks again.
Can I think of any other reasons to keep people from coming here and tracking out our powder? A few lies like: The skiing stinks? The weather is bad?
Let's keep it a secret! Mormons started a wonderful city. The citizens have kept it that way.
The only reason to be as negative as many of the posts I see here is to keep the traffic down and the powder fresh. GO SKI TARGHEE INSTEAD!
I agree with the "Ski Targhee" person. I've lived in Utah my entire life, and I always brag about the state to anyone who will listen. But now I see the Wasatch Front crowded with millions of people, and it makes me sad. Our roads are clogged with traffic, our schools are crowded, and our limited water supply is stretched very thin (except this year).
I actually think we should stop encouraging people to come here. Maybe visit for a few days - spend some tourist dollars, of course - but then go home. Thank you.

I wish more people would ski Grand Targhee. Then Utah's ski resorts with the best powder in the world would be less crowded.
