Offensive line coach Garett Tujague's starting five won't be determined for a long time, but he does know who will see first reps come fall practices.
Tujague regards his starting five out of spring practices as more of a guideline than a depth chart and mentioned the starting five could change frequently throughout fall practices.
Redshirt sophomore Ryker Mathews will get the first look at left tackle.
"I love what I've seen from Ryker when watching his film. He's clearly a player who loves the game and football is a huge priority for him," Tujague said.
At left guard it will be 6-foot-2, 305-pound junior Solomone Kafu.
"Solo gave a lot of effort in spring camp and I love his attitude and how he works. He played well last season and he'll be our starting left guard starting fall practices."
At center it will be 6-foot-3, 285-pound sophomore Terrance Alletto.
"(Alletto) really, really worked hard in spring and responded very well to everything I asked of him," Tujague said.
Walk-on 6-foot-3 freshman Kyle Johnson will get first looks at right guard.
"Kyle just worked his tail off and that's what got him on top of the depth chart. I expect him to continue to work and progress like he did," Tujague said.
Six-foot-8, 288-pound junior Michael Yeck rounds out the starting five at right tackle.
"There's no one in my group who improved more than Michael Yeck during spring. I love his effort and his ability to play tackle for us," Tujague said.
