Just one question - why aren't the buses running? Other major and even not so major cities want all their citizens to enjoy the festivities. July 4 is not a "Holy Day" but rather a big birthday party celebration for our country. UTA get your act together and make bus service available so that we can keep the air pollution down and everyone who chooses to can participate in the fun activities.

How about letting UTA enjoy a day off. Get your wallet out and get a taxi, ride your bike, or walk.

The 2nd of July 1776 was the official separation from Britain. So shouldn't that be Independence Day? Its wasn't until July 4th that The Declaration of Independence was ratified by Congress. at Sqweebie, If you have the holiday off shouldn't UTA workers? If you don't like it hire a cab or get a car or bike.I am afraid car driving would make little difference in pollution, I bet it will smell like fireworks for a few days.

Bootleg beer and fireworks (safely) at my place. Celebrating freedom by shaking off the shackles of oppression.
