The growing number of seniors and the number of those living with chronic conditions may strain future health care systems even more than expected, according to a new report analyzing senior health status across the nation. I think a more "telling" and interesting statistic would have been to compare the percentage of the population of the country that resides in each state along with the percentage of the population of baby boomers living in the state. The statistic as presented doesn't give one a feel for if the percentage of baby boomers is high and more concentrated, or whether it's merely a reflection of the population of the state.
