In January of 2010, Miller raised his career high from 28 to 52 points in a game. The Blazers' guard lifted his team past the Dallas Mavericks, 114-112.

Miller scored 25 in the fourth quarter alone to take the game to overtime, where his teammate Juwan Howard hit a jumper to lift Portland over Dallas. Miller scored 22 of 31 shots and went 7 of 8 from the free-throw line.

Andre, a classic basketball player and person. Thank you for the memories and for being a UTE!

Andre is the best. He single-handedly carried the Utes on his back to the championship game. What a pleasure it has been to watch him play over the years. As crafty as they come.

Thank you for the memories Andre!!!

Andre is still performing at a high level for an "old man" in NBA years. Loved seeing him hit the game winner in Game 1. Nice job!

Finally an article about a decent player in the NBA, instead of about a guy who hardly leaves the bench.

Every time I watch Andre play, the quote comes to mind "I may be old, but I AM slow!" Definitely one of the NBA's toughest and craftiest, he may be a little bit of a longshot, but I'd love to see him end up in the hall of fame. His consistency and longevity is very rare in the league today. Only missed 4 games in 15 years due to injury!

Andre Miller is one of the point guards in the league. He has been doing his thing quietly and with humility for the last 14 years. He has such great vision and is a total team player. Watch the full clip of him scoring 52 points against Dallas and all he talks about is how hard everybody played and that it was a great team victory. I just wish there were more players in the NBA like him.

I'm so proud that he is a Ute! Thanks for all the great memories and keep it going Andre!

If Andre can play 3 more years in the NBA, he'll likely end up in the top 10 and top 20 in several all-time league leading categories. The guy has been a steady, consistent iron man. However, the most amazing part of Andre's career is his continuous humility.
What a person and what a career.

My all time favorite Ute. Andre Miller is as good as any player to have played in our state. He has been on some bad teams over the years in the NBA and Miller flies under the radar much of the time. Despite that, Andre is still bringing it on the court after 15 years.

In the NCAA tournament in 1998, Miller was the MAIN reason Utah went to the championship game and had the lead on Kentucky with 4 minutes remaining. He was laying down triple doubles each game and beating the likes of Arizona and North Carolina all the way through the final four.

Van Horn graduated the year before when Utah got to the elite 8, but it was Andre, on a team with few offensive weapons (1998), that took over games like he did on these highlights here. What a special season Utah and Andre Miller had that year.

It's about time the DesNews covered a player from our area (past) that is a big time baller. I understand the Jimmer pieces done on the paper with the local interest and all, but it's legit to cover things you don't have to manufacture.
