Previewing the NCAA Tournament second-round games in Salt Lake City
The eight teams headed to Salt Lake City for this year's NCAA men's basketball tournament were unveiled Sunday, and they include No. 1 seed Gonzaga.
The Bulldogs, 31-2 and winners of the West Coast Conference title, will play 16th seed Southern (23-9). The winner of that game will play the winner of No. 8 seed Pittsburgh (24-8) and No. 9 Wichita State (26-8).
No. 3 seed New Mexico (29-5) and No. 14 Harvard (19-9) will play in Salt Lake City, and No. 6 Arizona (25-7) and No. 11 Belmont (26-6) will face each other. The winners of those games will face off in the third round.
All games in Utah, to be played at EnergySolutions Arena, are in the West Region of the bracket. All second-round games in Utah will be played on Thursday, with third-round games on Saturday.
