2012-2013 statistics
9.9 point per game
2.8 rebounds per game
6.0 assists per game (3rd in 3A)
2.7 steals per game (5th in 3A)
Season high
14 points on seven different occasions
Opposing coach scouting report
“Mike was a great point guard who understood the position. Cedar has never been a "play-fast" program, but with Mike's speed and athleticism, this year they were able to have success in that style. He was everything you would want from your point guard with his ability to defend the opponent's point guard and control him off the dribble, and push the ball and get it to the right people at the right times. His "blow-by" speed was unstoppable if defenders tried to play him too tight. His one downside was his unselfish play led to him not being very confident in his ability to shoot the 3. He is a great competitor with a "hate-to-lose" spirit. When he was in foul trouble and had to sit out, Cedar was a completely different team and struggled to score.”
