The action is over; high school basketball champions have been crowned.

Taking a look back at the Utah State high school basketball tournaments, several individual performances were key to their respective team's playoff bouts.

Throughout the tournaments that took place over the last couple of weeks, the Deseret News compiled all-tournament teams for each class of girls and boys basketball.

Each tournament team features an MVP and several players that had a definite impact during the playoffs.

After Lone Peak completed its dream season by blowing out Alta in the 5A championship game, the Deseret News named center Eric Mika the MVP of the 5A all-tournament team. Mika locked in a double-double for the Knights in 3-of-4 games during the tournament, including scoring 16 points and grabbing 18 rebounds in the championship game verses Alta.

Another highlight that will not be forgotten is Jalen Moore's buzzer-beating 3-pointer from half court to seal the semi-final victory for Sky View against Bountiful. This alone could have earned him the tournament MVP for class 4A, but he also scored 16 or more points in each game, including 28 points in Sky View's first round rout of Timpview.

On the girls' side, Whitney Saunders led Riverton to its first-ever 5A title. Saunders brought down 12 rebounds, including seven offensive boards, in the championship game verses Layton.

All-tournament teams were chosen by James Edward, Amy Donaldson, and Brandon Gurney.
