As much as any other act or attitude you portray to the child, this one prepares the child for happiness in life and gives the child a role model for, in turn, showing respect and love for your spouse.

13. Invite your child to not only see you do things in the above list but also to follow your example in practicing all of the traits and attributes mentioned in the list. When they see in their own lives that these traits and attributes develop in them love for others, they will realize how much you loved them.
