Prep editor James Edward’s bracket: Loss to Alta in first round.

Edward’s evaluation: The Miners have been very erratic this year. In addition to wins over Bountiful, Alta and Olympus, not to mention a first-place finish in a 16-team bracket at the San Diego Holiday Classic, they also lost to Brighton by 19, American Fork by 18 and 17 and then Lone Peak by 35 and 41 this season. Which version of Bingham will show up against Alta on Monday morning at the Dee Events Center is anybody’s guess.
