How NFL players with Utah ties performed in the championship round
Associated Press
Teams: David Reed, Baltimore Ravens; Alex Smith and Will Tukuafu, San Francisco 49ers
Reed, a wide receiver out of Utah, and Tukuafu, a defensive tackle from East High, played but did not record any stats in Sunday's games.
Smith, a quarterback out of Utah, did not play in the 49ers' win. He was replaced near midseason by Colin Kepernick, who threw for 233 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's game.

Alex Smith mentioned; "I am happy for the 49er's." Reading between the lines as in;
"I am as good as gone." The 49er's won't pay him the $8 million dollar signing bonus he is
due in the spring to be a back up. Go Niner's! I've loved ya for 47 years now.
Finally, we have a former Ute QB in the Superbowl. Hold that clipboard with pride Alex! Do us proud!
