How NFL players with Utah ties performed in the championship round
Associated Press
Whether in the AFC or NFC, it was a good day for several football players with Utah ties in Sunday's NFL playoffs.
Five Baltimore Ravens have ties to the Beehive State, and each will represent the team in Super Bowl XLVII in two weeks after the Ravens knocked out New England 28-13 in the AFC title game.
In the NFC, a pair of 49ers with Utah ties moved on to the Super Bowl when San Francisco rallied to defeat the Atlanta Falcons.

Alex Smith mentioned; "I am happy for the 49er's." Reading between the lines as in;
"I am as good as gone." The 49er's won't pay him the $8 million dollar signing bonus he is
due in the spring to be a back up. Go Niner's! I've loved ya for 47 years now.
Finally, we have a former Ute QB in the Superbowl. Hold that clipboard with pride Alex! Do us proud!
