What's the point of this story? There are lots of great Americans with German ancestors or English ancesters. They don't get a day and they will never get an article describing the contributions made to our nation.

Maybe because it's St. Patrick's day??? I have no idea how it's become such a big deal, but it definitely has and has been for a very long time. I'm older than dirt and it was when I was growing up. I am not Irish but we always had some fun with being "Irish" for a day, and I still do.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! The snakes all left Ireland and where did they go? They put on nice clothes and made speeches and became politicians. Remember: you don't have to wear green unless you AREN'T Irish! Then, you get pinched.
