During Christmastime, the Manila Philippines Temple glows with 360,000 lights in gold, green, red and blue. More than 10,000 people attend the lighting ceremony each year.

For a short time during the holiday season, there are musical programs held in the evenings.

Someone should make a Christmas calendar with pictures of the temples' light and Christmas displays...I'd buy the first ten off the presses!

Maricopa, AZ

That's a beautiful picture of the Mesa Temple, but it doesn't show a fraction of all the lights.
I guess it'd be hard to capture all the beautiful angles of each temple.
Our kids and grandkids went last Monday night before it got cold. I think it was 65-70 degrees when we arrived. Then we continued our "temple tailgate" tradition afterward and had hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies while the kids played on the grass.
So beautiful! Such a great way of sharing our beliefs with others.

The blessings of having Temples worldwide in larger numbers, is that it highlights the birth of Jesus Christ to the world that is not all Christian, even in a Christian country. What a great tool for people to see and feel the Spirit. In working with non-LDS people from 80 different countries, many not Christian countries, was to have them want to go to Temple Square anytime of the year. Why? They said they felt something different and inspiring when they went there. Some of them even had the opportunity and chose to go to the Temple open houses to be able to go into a Temple. Some of these individuals knew what temples were in their country's religions, but had not been into Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Light unto the world is what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints signifies to many.

This Christmas season and the Tabernacle program was always inspiring to these people and how much they felt inside the Conference Center with the songs, music and dance by people that volunteer to perform.

Again, many thanks to those who give of their talents for us.
