Football players from Utah colleges drafted to the NFL since 2000
Since Ed "Red" Wade from Utah State was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1937 in the second NFL draft, the state of Utah has consistently produced NFL-caliber players. Some players were drafted but never played, while others went on to have long careers in the NFL.
HIghlights of this century's draft include former Utes Steve Smith, who hold numerous record with the Carolina Panthers and first overall pick Alex Smith who has had a roller coaster career playing under numerous head coaches in San Francisco.
Take a look at our previous lists of Utah football players drafted in the '70s, '80s and '90s.
