Utah Jazz basketball: A statistical look at how the Jazz and Nuggets compare
Scott G Winterton, Deseret News
Jazz 3PT%: 35.6
Jazz opponents 3PT%: 37.2
Nuggets 3PT%: 29.2
Nuggets opponents 3PT%: 32.7
Both teams shoot worse from behind the arc than their opponents, but the Nuggets' shooting has been atrocious. This might be one factor that contributes to the losing records for each team, as most winning teams are shooting better from deep than their opponents.
Miami, New York and Dallas all shoot at least six percent better from deep than their opponents.

Thanks for the awesome video clips. I also enjoyed the statistical comparison of the Jazz and the Nuggets. They make for a more interesting view of the possibilities.
Love reading statistics for these teams! although it is true that they are closely matched, it seems to me that the Jazz still have the edge! That being said, the proof is in the pudding!
