Meet the revamped 2012-13 Utah Utes men's basketball team
Utah will feature 11 new faces in the 2012-13 season as they only return four active players from last year. The two starters returning are seniors Jason Washburn and Cedric Martin. Of the returning players, Washburn is the top scorer and rebounder while Martin leads the team in assists, steals and 3-point shooting.
Looking to improve upon a 6-25 losing season, the Utes enter their second season in the Pac-12.
At the annual "Night with the Runnin' Utes," Utah put on a good show for the 2000+ fans. The scrimmage went into a quadruple overtime and showcased this team's new talent.

I'm hoping for a respectable season. This Ute team is not filled with players that good programs wanted. The talent level seems to me to be about that of the Lynn Archibald years maybe a little less when you consider he put guys like Manny Hendrix and Kelvin Upshaw out on the court. Next seasons class doesn't look all that much better. Still, college bball is about finding a diamond in the rough, developing him and surrounding him with great role players. Let's hope Mr. Loveredge can turn out to be that stud we can build around. If not, let's settle in for a long uphill slog. I'm thinking 10 wins tops. I hope I'm wrong as wrong can be and the Utes prove to be a much better team.
I'm confident the Utes will be better than last year. I'm agree with xert, probably 8 - 10 wins. Double digit wins should be viewed as a successful season with 11 new faces. I just hope Ute fans are patient.
This ute team wins 16 games this year. 1) the schedule is a joke. 2) this team is vastly improved. xerts statement that this team is filled with players that others didnt want is untrue. Loveridge was recruited by a ton of schools. As was Jeremy Olsen. Glen dean and Aaron Dotson also held many offers. Justin Seymour drew a lot of interest late.
are we pac-12 contenders? no. are we on our way up? absolutely.
