Sebastian Velasquez was subbed on for Will Johnson in the 73rd minute as an attacking option and made several super runs into the box, but Tuesday was not a Real night and the feisty midfielder let his frustration get the better of him, earning a yellow card caution in the 89th minute.

Your grades are a bit too high. Giving everybody except Schuler and Gil an A means that everybody besides those two was perfect. So you're saying 9 of the 11 players on the field couldn't have played any better, even though it was a 0-0 draw with an overmatched opponent? That sure doesn't give us much hope for the playoffs, does it?
Or think of it this way: RSL took a ton of shots (16) and scored zero goals, and yet you still gave the strikers an A and an A-. Giving them those grades based on things like possession, work rate, linking with the midfield, and other soccer media buzzwords shows that you're overthinking this a bit. Those are nice things, but at the end of the day strikers are there to score goals. Neither of them did that. Espindola deserves a B, Paulo a C+.
