Jonny Steele came on for Luis Gil in the 68th minute. Adreneline may have gotten the better of him because both positioning and passing were less than adequate most of his 22 minutes, a trend that seemed to continue from last Saturday's draw at Seattle.

Your grades are a bit too high. Giving everybody except Schuler and Gil an A means that everybody besides those two was perfect. So you're saying 9 of the 11 players on the field couldn't have played any better, even though it was a 0-0 draw with an overmatched opponent? That sure doesn't give us much hope for the playoffs, does it?

Or think of it this way: RSL took a ton of shots (16) and scored zero goals, and yet you still gave the strikers an A and an A-. Giving them those grades based on things like possession, work rate, linking with the midfield, and other soccer media buzzwords shows that you're overthinking this a bit. Those are nice things, but at the end of the day strikers are there to score goals. Neither of them did that. Espindola deserves a B, Paulo a C+.
