Since temperatures can drop to freezing levels, make sure that liquids in the car are filled, such as antifreeze.

It's also important to keep tires maintained in the winter.

"Every 10 degrees the temperature drops, a tire will lose 1 to 2 pounds of air," said Derek Edwards, sales manager for Big O Tires in Sandy, the article. "As it gets colder, tire pressure is constantly dropping so consumers will want to make sure to inflate tires to the proper air pressure and check them every week."
