The softer side of President Barack Obama
Carolyn Kaster, Associated Press
April 2012, President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visit Warriors Walk at Fort Stewart, Ga.
This was before speaking to troops, veterans and military families at the Third Infantry Division Headquarters.
Warriors Walk pays tribute to the 441 fallen service members who have died in Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn while assigned or attached to the 3rd Infantry Division or Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
Each fallen service member is honored with a plaque and an Eastern Redbud tree.
