FIRST QUARTER NOTE

The Darts looked like a well-oiled machine in the final 3 minutes of the first period, outscoring the Jaguars 9-0 during the span. Davis got a big lift from Tallon Burton, who hit a 3-pointer and a jumper during the 9-0 run. West Jordan looked flat early on, missing its first four shots, but battled back to tie it at 10-10. The Jaguars shot 25 percent in the first quarter.

HALFTIME NOTE

West Jordan survived a dismal shooting stretch in which it missed 11 straight shots to stay in this game. A possession that resulted in five points was big for the Jaguars. Tyler Kiesel hit a 3-pointer, was fouled, and then made two free throws in a one-and-one situation. The sequence trimmed a 29-14 deficit to 29-19. The Darts had been dominating the game up until that point and went cold to close the quarter. Davis still leads comfortably, but the game is far from over.

THIRD QUARTER NOTE

The Darts survived an 8-0 run by West Jordan to start the third quarter, and are back in control. After the Jaguars got close at 29-28, Davis went on a 9-2 run. Landon Horne made a big 3-pointer to put Davis up 38-30. Interestingly, Davis stretched its lead back to 10 in a quarter where the Jaguars had their best shooting period of the game. That's not saying much, as West Jordan's best was a 33 percent shooting effort in the third.
