Abby Ulrich scored on a long-distance free kick just a minute into the second half and Jaiden Thornock added a second goal to help the Lakers hold off the Pioneers and advance to the 4A title game for the second consecutive season.

6th min -- Lakers forward Jaiden Thornock gets a good look at the net when she stops a ball flicked to the back post on a corner kick and fires it at the net. Emily Fox cleared the ball off the line to bail out the Pioneers

19th min -- Lakers could be in trouble on their backline. Starting sweeper Val Buckway has to be carried off the field after getting injured on a play.

23rd min -- Thornock dribbled into the area trying to create a 1 vs 1 with keeper Briar Sands. She could not shake a defender however and had to stretch and poke a shot at Sands with her toe. Sands comes up with the save.

HALFTIME

Bonneville is definitely creating some quality scoring chances at times in the first half. But Lehi's defense is making it tough for the Lakers offense to truly get on track. Lehi has had its fair share of scoring chances on the other end, but the Pioneers have struggled to put finishing touches on a goal so far.

41st min -- Lakers GOAL!!! Abby Ulrich takes a free kick from 44 yards out. Ball takes a bounce off the turf just outside the 6-yard box and it sails right through Sands' hands. That could be a momentum changer.

55th min -- Ulrich sent in a free kick that bounced out to Bailee Freeland amid a scramble for the ball. Freeland had a nice look at the net, but Sands makes the save.

71st min -- Lakers GOAL!!! Katie Parkinson sends a corner kick across the face of the goalmouth. The ball falls to Thornock up a few feet from the left post and she slots it inside the post.

Lehi

72nd minute -- Pioneers GOAL!!! Lehi answers right back when Tasha Price blasts the ball from the left flank and buries it in the right corner of the net to put the Pioneers on the board. Both offenses are finally coming to life here late.

Bonneville

76th min -- Freeland nearly gets a third goal for the Lakers when her shot glances off the crossbar.

FINAL

Once again Bonneville survives a game where a defensive slugfest devolves into a last-minute score fest. The Lakers are back in the 4A title game once again and will face either Timpanogos or Springville on Friday afternoon.
