Statewide Rankings – Oct. 27, 2014
|Bingham||13-1||It's hard to believe, but another state title seems like more of an inevitability this year than last year.
|Timpview||14-0||Hosts East in an interesting rematch of last year's 4A state championship, a game Timpview should realistically dominate.
|Brighton||10-2||Robbie Hutchins has been on fire lately, a big reason the Bengals are the favorite to meet Bingham in 5A championship next month.
|Corner Canyon||12-1||Second-year school impressed with perfect regular season, but road gets tougher with a difficult playoff draw.
|American Fork||11-3||Hung tough last week with Eastside Catholic., Wash., a top 100 team nationally, but now the Cavemen turn their attention to the 5A state tournament.
|Riverton||10-2||Heads into the playoffs on a five-game winning streak, and confident about a run to Rice-Eccles Stadium.
|Roy||12-1||A week after rallying past Sky View for region title, Royals can't take anything for granted against a very good Orem team.
|Woods Cross||11-2||If Woods Cross takes care of business in the opening rounds of the playoffs, it will likely get a semifinal rematch with TImpview.
|Herriman||8-4||Avoided a play-in game with a solid victory last week, and now gets a favorable first-round game against West.
|Jordan||8-4||Austin Kafentzis' record-breaking career heads into home stretch, but how long it lasts depends on 'Digger defense.
|Davis||7-3||Has scored 38-plus points in each of the past three games, but will likely need to score 40-plus points to compete with Jordan.
|Sky View||9-3||Region 5 title slipped away in the fourth quarter last week, and now Bobcats are likely starring at quarterfinal game at Timpview.
|Fremont||8-4||Played superb defense last week to wrap up a perfect and unlikely Region 1 title.
|Salem Hills||10-2||The Region 8 runner-ups hosts Highland in arguably the most intriguing 4A first round game this week.
|Logan||7-4||Showed grit in an overtime victory last week, something the Grizzlies will need more of in the playoffs.
|Bountiful||8-3||Defense came up big last week in victory over Highland, which secured a first-round home playoff game for the Braves.
|Syracuse||7-3||The cardiac kids won a lot of close games this season, but they'll need a big offensive performance to try and keep pace with Brighton in first round.
|Highland||7-4||The Rams lack a victory over a top 25 team this year, making them a pretty big enigma heading into 4A first round.
|Desert Hills||10-2||Beat Hurricane as expected to clinch top seed from 3AA South and a first-round bye this week.
|Pine View||8-3||In midst of two straight bye weeks, and there's no telling how rusty the Panthers might be once 3AA quarterfinals finally roll around.
|Lone Peak||5-6||After starting 0-3 against the meat of Region 4, the Knights won their last three to clinch league's last playoff berth.
|Orem||3-8||The Tigers have found their stride the past month, and they're the most dangerous No. 4 seed in the 4A playoffs by far.
|Judge Memorial||12-1||Struggled to put away Morgan last week, the first time that's happened all year against a 3A team.
|Hunter||6-6||The Wolverines are probably the only Region 2 team with a realistic hope of winning a playoff game this week.
|Stansbury||9-2||After some key injuries early, the Stallions are finally healthy again and hope to compete with Southern Utah's elite.
