The Warriors withstood a barrage of scoring runs by the Mustangs as they earn a berth into Friday's Semifinal of the 1A State Tournament. Brandon Nichols was Liahona's high scorer with 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and earned three steals. Brayden Facemyer also had a huge game with 26 points, eight rebounds, five assists and six steals. And Matt Comer added 11 points, three assists and two steals in the victory. The Mustangs were led by four-year starter Kace Roundy, who scored 36 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. he also had four assists and four steals. Korde Chynoweth added 10 points and two boards, while Jacob Pearson added eight rebounds. The win means Liahona will play ICS in the semifinals, while the loss sends Bryce Valley into the consolation bracket where the Mustangs will meet the Tabiona Tigers.
