Momentum went back and forth throughout the night in this tightly-contested region game, but Alta eventually pulled away as Zack Zdunich hit numerous free throws in the third overtime to finish with 13 points in the wild victory. Jarett Anderson led Alta with 16 points. The Hawks appeared to have won the game on a 3-pointer by Jake Baum at the buzzer of the first overtime, but it was waved off by the officials after a lengthy discussion. Pleasant Grove had its own reason to be frustrated after complaining that Alta scored a key basket in the second overtime on a goaltending. In the loss, Alan Hamson led the way with 14 points.
