A bruising rushing attack was all Skyline needed to get the win over Kearns in the first round of the 5A playoffs. Mike Pell led the Eagles with 112 yards on 11 carries, while Andy Rounds added 97 yards on the ground. Matthew Newman and Nelson Johansen combined for 186 yards for Skyline. In his final game for Kearns, J.R. Finai went 20-for-33 for 301 yards and accounted for three scores, two on the ground and one through the air.
