Christian Covey nailed a 3-pointer from mid court at the buzzer to send the T-birds to the 4A championship game. After Same Orchard knotted the score at 44-44 with a three-point play with three minutes remaining, both teams tried to kill the clock for the final play. Highland had a chance to go ahead but missed the layup with too much time remaining and Covey took advantage. Covey finished with 16 points while Eli Robison led all scorers with 17 points. Nate Fakahafua and Orchard led the Rams with 16 and 15 points, respectively.

After falling behind by six, Highland outscored Timpview 11-4 to close the second quarter. The Rams made some nice adjustments against Timpview's huge lineup, and closed the first half with momentum. Sam Orchard was big in the second quarter, finishing the first half with 10 points. Eli Robison and Christian Covey have combined for 13 points to lead the T-Birds.
