Deseret News All-Tournament MVP Danica Mendivil finished with 19 kills and 15 digs, her second double-double of the day, to lead Pleasant Grove to the dominating win over Lone Peak for the 5A State Championship. Kim Dahl added 13 kills, 3 aces and six digs, while Jen Hamsen contributed nine kills and two solo blocks. Setter Kemi McFarland was also huge with 23 assists, 13 digs, three aces and five kills. Viking libero McKell Staheli also contributed 27 digs in a jaw-dropping performance. Junior Ashlan Rogers led Lone Peak with 11 kills and two aces, while Chloe Jarema added six kills an ace and a block. Cami Richan added five kills and Whitney Ashton ended up with 10 digs.
