Weber 0 1 1
Brighton 1 1 2

Final: Wtih a huge, huge wind behind them, the Weber Warriors pelted Brighton over the final seven minutes, but the Bengals survive to advance to the 5A title game. They will meet Viewmont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Woods Cross High.

73rd minute: It's getting crazier by the minute. At the other end, Jordan Hatanaka appears to have scored a game-clinching goal for Brighton, but his good effort is somehow cleared off the line. Holy cow.

72nd minute: GOAL! Wow, that could make things interesting. Taylor Bowlin just scored from a wonderful free kick from about 30 yards, and the Warriors suddently have life. The wind has gotten ridiculously stiff, and could somehting strange happen in the final few minutes?

45th minute: GOAL! Despite playing into the wind, Brighton has come out with guns blazing in the second half, and they capitalized with a huge second goal by Taylor Peay. It's hard to think that anything today can possibly top Colton Cook's hit to send Viewmont to the 5A title game, but Peay's goal was just a fantastic hit from the right side, which went across goal and in.

Half: Weber has every reason to think it can get back in this game, but will that goal by Brighton finally get the Bengals going in this postseason?

40th minute: GOAL! And just like that, the Bengals have the lead. Star midfielder Mike Nielsen gets forward to sweep home a cross from the right side, and Brighton goes ahead.

32nd minute: The stiff wind from the south has been getting bigger and bigger as this evening's progressed, and Brighton has had it throughout this first half. However, the Bengals haven't pressed Weber a ton. They've had more of the play. But they haven't been dominant.

1st minute: And now we're rolling in the final semifinal contest of the day here at Woods Cross High. It's difficult to imagine anything topping what we just witnessed between Viewmont and Alta, but stay tuned.
