The Lions won their first-round playoff game behind the performances of seniors Brooke Hiatt and Morgan Bateman. Hiatt scored 18 points, earned six steals and grabbed seven rebounds. Bateman added 10 points and six rebounds. Lexie Bushman had eight points, two steals, six rebounds and four assists in the win.
The Flyers were led by Chamea Palmer, who scored 15 points and earned four steals. Jennika Wright added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Payson will take on Sky View in the quarterfinals Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
