Saane Lomanu sank two foul shots with 14.6 seconds remaining to give Judge a two-point lead. After Emery failed to score on the other end, Erica Martinez made a foul shot to give the Bulldogs their winning margin.

Meagan Pearson had 22 points and five 3-pointers to lead Emery. Martinez had 16 points for Judge.

Game notes:

Judge took the lead with 1:05 remaining on a controversial call. Emery guard Jodi Robertson was whistled for a technical foul after she fouled out. The Spartans led 53-51 at the time. Judge then made two technical free throws and two regular foul shots to go up by two. The Bulldogs had possession after the foul shots and Tina Fakahafua was fouled and made two free throws to give Judge a four-point lead with 49 seconds left in the game.

Third quarter report:

It looked like the Spartans were going to run away with the game when Pearson hit a 3-pointer to put them up 32-21. Judge then went on an 11-0 run to tie the game. Emery went up by five before Alison Brann tied the game with a basket and a 3-pointer in the final minute of the third.

Halftime report:

The Bulldogs haven't had an answer for Meagan Pearson so far in this game. She has 14 points and three 3-pointers. She's also provided some key steals and deflections for the Spartans on defense.

Mikelle Mancini is leading Judge on offense. She has been set up nicely for a couple of baskets by Erica Martinez.

You can probably give the edge to Emery in the second half. The Spartans' press should be able to take this game over. And if the Bulldogs keep letting Pearson shoot, they'll be in big trouble.

First quarter report:

The Spartans' press overwhelmed Judge during a 12-0 run. But the Bulldogs handled it better later in the quarter and got back in the game. Emery has missed some close-range shots.
