The second-ranked Bobcats slowed the pace to upset the top-ranked Rebels in the 1A semifinals Friday at the Sevier Valley Center. Panguitch was led by senior Tyce Barney who scored 14 points and earned six rebounds. Also key in the win was senior Keldon Norris, who scored six points, had four rebounds and earned two assists and two steals. Mycrae Tebbs hit three-of-four free throws down the stretch to help hold off a Rebel comeback.
The Rebels were led by McKay Jarman, who scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds. The Rebels have played in the semifinals every season since 2008. They will play Duchesne in the third/fourth place game Saturday.
