Shaylee Gleave's 18 points led Piute to a quarterfinal victory in the 1A state tournament Thursday. Her sister Kierra Gleave added 16, while Whitney Westwood finished with 10 points.
Rebecca Collett led the Mustangs with 16 points, while Emily Catron added 13 points in the loss that sends Manila into the consolation bracket. Manila will play Escalante Friday in consolation, while Piute takes on Layton Christian in the semifinals.
