Abbie Flandro sent a corner kick to the center of the field in the 95th minute, and Ella Johnson was there to head it in for the win and the 5A state championship. This was the Vikings' third consecutive trip to the title game. They lost to Alta last season and to Brighton the year before. Viewmont has now won three girls' soccer championships. The other two were in 1993 and 1998.
