With Orem's leading scorer Jordan Darger saddled with foul trouble, senior Josh Pollard stepped up and banged in 21 points. Sophomore Dalton Nixon added 18 points and Orem's floor leader Zach Hunsaker knocked in 16 points and numberous assists to his teammates. Also in double figures was sophomore Cooper Holt with 12 points. Orem dominated all aspects of the game in the first half leading 48-26 and cruised to the region 8 win. The anticipated matchup of the regions top 2 teams never materialized leaving Orem undefeated in region play.
